Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning-250 Hours-Evening/EPA 608/EPA 609
This HVAC Adult Evening Course is one of the high-demand occupations. The program is an intense and rapid-paced course designed to introduce the Theory, Safety, and Practical Skills to those students interested in designing, selling, manufacturing, installing, and servicing HVAC equipment or Refrigeration in residential or light commercial areas. The student will undertake the EPA- Section 608 to obtain Type 1 to Type 3 residential and light commercial Refrigeration Certification (universal license) and the MACS Section 609. The students will learn theory in the classroom application. The class will also include basic electricity and intense hands-on instruction/troubleshooting on gas, oil, electric, broiler, heat pumps, and air conditioning units. The student will also attend forklift training and obtain an OSHA 10 certification.
CNC Operator-300 Hour Evening
The students completing this program can expect to seek employment as a CNC programmer or operator. This instructional program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills in all aspects of shaping metal parts. The student will develop the ability to execute quantitative designs of machine products. They will also be able to identify the basic components of a CADD/CAM system. The class will allow the student to learn how to perform an infinite number of 3-D machine tool path computations necessary to produce an advanced drafting and design portfolio. The student will receive instruction on how to analyze and select appropriate materials and components for designing and manufacturing industrial products.
Electrical-300 Hour Evening
This 300-hour program prepares students to learn the electrical trade used in residential, commercial, and industrial fields in accordance with the National Electric Code. From layout and assembly to installation, testing, and maintenance of power systems, this program consists of broad-based training and classroom instruction. Specialty areas such as the installation of high-voltage lines and electrical distribution systems are also covered. Upon completion of the program, the student will qualify for numerous entry-level positions. The student will demonstrate the ability to install different amperage systems. Also included in the class is basic forklift training and OSHA 10 General Industry.
Welding-200 Hour Evening
This course is to introduce the student to the welding profession. This course is an intense teaching course designed to educate students to their highest level of competency in the welding field. The class consists of 200 hours, divided into 4 50-hour segments. Upon completion of the 200-hour course, the graduate student has met the prescribed industry standard. The certificate provided validates that the student has achieved the skills and training that the welding industry needs. The student may also become certified in forklift training and attend OSHA 10.
Plumbing-300 Hour Evening
This course will introduce the student to the plumbing industry. Students will become familiar with the tasks and responsibilities of the plumbing profession. The student will be working with various types of materials and applications in the plumbing industry. They will learn about the appropriate types of fittings, valves, hangers, and supports in the plumbing industry. The student will also attend forklift training and obtain an OSHA 10 certification.
